George Floyd — a Black man — was murdered on Monday by Minneapolis police officers. The four officers involved have been fired, but more is required. More is required for George Floyd, for his family, and for every Black man and Black boy who risks death just by showing up in the world as he is.
We’re joining Color of Change in demanding that Mayor Jacob Frey and County Attorney Michael Freeman act immediately to ensure that the officers who ended George Floyd’s life never serve again, and to ensure they are charged with murder.
Together, we say his name — George Floyd. We will fight for accountability for his murder, and will carry forward the struggle for justice.
