Hi John,

When more guns are accessible, more accidents happen.

Every day, we lose an average of more than 90 mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters to senseless gun violence. And every day, 8 of those victims are children, often killed accidentally by another young person who gained access to a firearm.

Enough is enough. These untimely deaths can be prevented.

Right now, the Prevent Family Fire Act, which incentivizes sales of safe storage devices, could help. (Think a locked cabinet, safe, gun vault, or other case to ensure firearms don’t fall into the wrong hands!)

But we've got GOP leaders like Lee Zeldin OPPOSING every piece of legislation on gun safety and co-sponsoring measures like the Conceal Carry Reciprocity Act that make our communities less safe. That's why I stand with the Brady Campaign today in calling on Congress to end gun violence.

Congress must take action immediately to ensure that firearms in homes across the country are kept in safe and secure locations.

With fears brought on during the COVID outbreak resulting in more than two million gun purchases in March alone, and with the mental health consequences of the outbreak and subsequent social isolation, we can’t wait to enact commonsense gun safety legislation nationally. It’s time to act.

Thank you in advance for signing your name with mine.

Best,
Nancy
