Did you see what Speaker Johnson just said, John?

He is doubling down on Donald Trump’s demand for California to enact conservative policies before they provide *ANY* disaster relief for those harmed in our devastating fires:

This is disgusting and beyond the pale. There are survivors and first-responders who have been impacted by these fires and need relief.

But all we hear from the Republican Party is how they want to use this disaster to force California to pass conservative policies like restricting voting access.

This isn’t about “subsidizing California,” this is about providing the aid that we would provide *ANY* state that needed help during and after a disaster.
