Earlier this week, President Trump signed an executive order unlawfully freezing federal grants and funding.

As a result, countless Americans were plunged into a state of chaos. Parents were left uncertain whether their children would get a hot meal at school. Veterans were left unsure whether they’d still be able to access the benefits they earned. Millions and millions of folks on Medicaid were left to wonder whether their health care would be snatched away.

Trump’s illegal order has hurt everyday families, our economy and our national security. The President is not above the law—and it’s on us to make that clear.
