On the campaign trail, Elon Musk―who is leading the new “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE)―said that his proposed trillions of dollars in cuts would “necessarily involve some temporary hardship.”² But those necessary hardships won’t apply to billionaires like him and Charles Koch.
