Today marks the start of Black History Month – and it’s more important than ever that we take this time to recognize the incredible contributions Black Americans have made throughout our history and reflect our ongoing struggle for racial justice against the tides of right-wing extremism.

That’s why WisDems is committed to celebrating, uplifting, and honoring Black history this month and every month.


No matter what happens with the new administration, we understand that diversity makes us strong, that equity must be a key goal in all that we do, and that all of our efforts towards a better future would be nothing without the support of Black communities across the state and country.

We’re ready to fight tooth and nail to protect the progress we’ve made, fight back against the tides of white supremacy, and continue to promote racial justice at every opportunity.
