John: For the last several days, there has been a great deal of uncertainty surrounding critical assistance programs that provide shelter, medical care, clean water, malnutrition treatment and education for children and families around the world. Lifesaving programs that millions of children rely on and supporters like you help make possible hang in the balance.

In the face of this uncertainty there is one thing that has been certain for over 100 years. Save the Children will keep working around the clock in the U.S. and around the world to serve children who need us most. Their need to overcome the horrors of war, the unbearable ache of hunger, the unfairness of poverty and the desire for education can’t be paused.

Famine is spreading across Sudan. War continues to rage in Ukraine. Families in Lebanon and Syria are fighting to survive and rebuild. Kids across the U.S. are growing up in poverty, falling behind in school and missing out on opportunities to thrive.

In this time of extraordinary challenges, our commitment to support the world’s most vulnerable children must be stronger than ever. We have seen firsthand the impact of humanitarian assistance when distributed effectively and efficiently, and we take great pride in making every dollar count.
