‌Johh, I don’t know about you, but I'm tired.

Since taking office, the Trump administration lurched from one bad decision to the next – throwing out reckless executive orders, nominating unqualified people, and gutting federal funding for safety net programs.

They tried to force through an outrageous spending freeze — and we said no. The outcry was immediate, the pressure built, and they backed down. That wasn’t a fluke. That was us.

Know this, President Trump’s actions will not go unanswered. Congress has the authority and responsibility to reverse most of his administration’s actions. My Democratic House colleagues and I will fight against them.

I am committed to fighting for policies that protect our communities, strengthen our democracy and reflect the best of who we are as Americans. I will continue to work with colleagues on both sides of the aisle who share these goals.

I know that there is fear and uncertainty in our communities. Our office has been working tirelessly to remain a resource. Everyone who resides in America has certain constitutional rights that we will not let the Trump administration take away.
