Good news! President Trump now has TWICE as many cabinet nominees confirmed today compared to this point in 2017. But, we cannot step off the gas. My Senate colleagues on the left are still dragging their feet on crucial nominees that are important toour national security. While the Democrats are focused on auditioning for an MSNBC show in hearings, the Senate GOP is united in standing with President Trump and the agenda Americans voted for in November.
We're full steam ahead and won't stop until Trump's team is fully in place. So far, we've confirmed eight of Trump's nominations. The Senate GOP got John Ratcliffe over the line as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Sean Duffy as Secretary of Transportation, Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, Kristi Noem as Secretary of Homeland Security, Scott Bessent as Secretary of the Treasury, Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, Doug Burgum as Secretary of the Interior, and Lee Zeldin as Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. I’m urging all my colleagues to support Kash Patel, Tulsi Gabbard, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. so we can confirm them ASAP.

On Tuesday, the Senate voted on a sanctions bill against the International Criminal Court. You would think standing with our ally would get bipartisan support, yet only one Democratic Senator crossed the aisle to join us in defending our partner that's under attack. I can assure you that Oklahoma never has to worry where I stand on Israel's sovereignty. I will always vote to protect them and their fight to exist.
We're wrapping up another week here in Washington. However, this weekend we're not in session. Leader Thune is doing an excellent job of speedily getting the nominees through. Many have asked why we're headed home this weekend. I want to make one thing clear, we're moving as fast as we can. Watch me break down the process in this week's Weekly Wrap Up.
