Hi John,

I’m Julián Castro. You probably know me from my recent presidential campaign, my time serving as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Obama, or as former Mayor of my hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

Today, I’m excited to announce that I’m joining forces with Voto Latino as a senior advisor.

My decision to come on board was easy: Voto Latino is the largest and most successful organization leading critical Latinx voter registration and mobilization efforts for the 2020 election.

As I said during my campaign for president, the Latinx community will determine the outcome of November's election. At a time when Latinos are routinely targeted by the Trump administration and disproportionately hurt by the impact of COVID-19, Voto Latino is doing critical work to register and empower the 32 million eligible Latinx voters across the country.

Their 15-year proven track record of registering Latinx voters using the most sophisticated, digital native campaigns has cultivated the trust of our community and has resulted in 79% of Voto Latino-registered voters turning out at the polls.

I'm proud to partner with María Teresa and her team at Voto Latino in this effort, and look forward to Latinx voters saying ‘adios’ to Donald Trump in November.

Let’s work together to make it happen and register more Latinx voters than ever before: pitch in a grassroots contribution of $10 or more to fuel Voto Latino’s mission today. [[link removed]]
