Folks,
This week when I questioned RFK Jr. on protecting Medicaid for the 2 million Virginians that rely on it, he seemed confused as to which programs were impacted by Trump’s illegal federal fundraising freeze. I had to explain to him that Medicaid is what prevents Virginians from health crises on a daily and weekly basis. And when I confronted him about his campaign fundraising off of Trump’s reckless directive, he claimed he didn’t think his campaign still existed.
RFK Jr. won’t protect vulnerable Virginians. I will always fight to safeguard Medicaid for all Virginians and Americans. Will you rush a donation to my re-election campaign before our deadline at midnight so I can continue this crucial fight?
That was just the tip of the iceberg. I pressed him on his commitment to protecting Community Health Centers. He seemed confused about what they were and how their funding worked. That’s pretty disqualifying to me.
I wanted to give RFK Jr. a fair shot, but the fact of the matter is, I don’t believe he approaches this job with the knowledge and experience it deserves.
Even though Trump rescinded his order to defund the federal government because we raised holy hell about how disruptive it was going to be, we’re still hearing that domestic violence shelters, firefighters, and Community Health Centers aren’t sure if they can keep their doors open.
This fight isn’t over. Trump and RFK Jr. will try to sow chaos however they can. I promise to stand up and fight it.
But I need your help. If we want to be on the frontlines of this battle, we need to flip the Senate in 2026, and I’ll be on the ballot. Chip in to help us reach our January fundraising goal so we can get it done >>
Thank you,
Mark Warner
