Tomorrow, Democratic National Committee members will vote for new
leadership, including the next DNC Chair.

This leadership will make critical decisions about the direction of the
Democratic Party, the rules that govern Democratic candidates, and how
resources are allocated in elections. The next leaders of the Party must
decisively show that the party is for the people — not billionaires or
corporations.

We’re joining our partners at Sunrise Movement in calling on DNC
leadership candidates to commit to adopting bold reforms to reduce the
corrosive influence of big money in politics and prioritize working people
over billionaires and special interests.

party that works for us, not the wealthy few?

The time to end the influence of corporate money is NOW. Our open letter
calls on DNC leadership candidates to pledge to:

1️⃣ Revive the Obama-era ban on corporate donations to the DNC.

2️⃣ Ban SuperPAC spending in Democratic primaries.

Right now, super PACs bankrolled by oil CEOs, crypto moguls, and GOP
billionaires like Elon Musk have free reign to buy our elections,
undermining candidates who represent the needs of working people. And just
because these billionaires work with Republicans doesn’t keep them out of
Democratic primaries. In fact, Elon Musk has already threatened to
intervene in Democratic primaries this cycle.

For Democrats to be taken seriously when calling out Trump’s corruption,
they need to show they stand for something different. That starts with
rejecting corporate PAC contributions to the DNC and taking a stand
against the special interests interfering in Democratic primaries. That’s
how we can win back working-class voters in 2026 and 2028.
