The Trump administration and congressional Republicans want to rip off everyday Americans.
They want to transfer wealth from regular working people, the elderly, students, and the disabled by cutting programs like Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and Social Security and then send that money to the wealthiest corporations and individuals in the form of major tax cuts for the top 1%.
Let’s be clear: Nothing Trump did during his first days in office will lower costs. That’s because, for them, it was never about lowering the price of eggs, the price you pay at the pump, or your mortgage or rent. It was always about cutting the programs millions of Americans depend on to enrich their wealthy benefactors.
This isn’t just an insult to hardworking people; it’s a glimpse into how Trump and the GOP operate: prioritizing their personal interests and extreme agenda over the needs of everyday Americans.
While Trump and Republicans are scheming to enrich themselves, Democrats are organizing to win. We’re recruiting strong candidates, building campaigns, defending our values, and working to protect democracy.
