Hey folks, it's Minnesota Governor Tim Walz with a different kind of request for you today.

As the former Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, I know just how important grassroots supporters are to our strategy. And I know this team will be critical in forging a strong strategy as Donald Trump and his extremist allies try to strip away freedoms and protections from everyday Americans.

So I am asking you to update your official DGA Voter Profile to ensure that our supporter data is as accurate as possible in the beginning stages of Trump’s second presidency. Now more than ever, we need to know who we can rely on.

Here’s the truth: We're facing the fight of our lives now that Donald Trump and JD Vance are officially in the White House.

With a GOP trifecta and a Supreme Court packed with extremist judges, our priority is urgent and clear: We must protect our rights, freedoms, and our way of life in states across the country.

Trump’s far-right cabinet is already preparing to execute their agenda, and you and I both know what that means for the American people – higher costs for the middle class, a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, the gutting of Social Security and Medicare, and bans on abortion across this country.

We’re going to have to be ready to defend the progress that we made over the last four years. And we're going to need your help to do it. Our strategy is driven by on-the-ground, real-time input from folks like you – and it's essential for us to know who our supporters are and where they stand.
