I am heartbroken for the victims of the
tragic plane crash in Washington DC and their grieving families and loved
ones in Massachusetts and across the country.

Dr. King reminds us: “Power without love is reckless.” That is exactly
what we’re seeing from the current occupant of the White House.

During a time of tragedy, when he should be a source of compassion and
confidence for grieving families and for the country, what does he do? He
blames DEI.

They blamed DEI for this tragic plane crash. His administration and his
loyalists blamed DEI for the wildfires in California. They blame DEI for
everything, every bit of harm that we experienced, that they have
architected — and they’re the only ones they don’t hold accountable.

I know people are overwhelmed — they are discouraged and they are
hopeless. But we’re going to have to fight back and match his energy. We
can sleep in shifts, but this is going to require everyone.

We cannot have people more outraged about TikTok being deactivated than
they are about the rolling back of our civil rights and an existential
threat to our democracy and our very planet.

At every single chance we get, we need to stand up, speak out, and stand
in the gap for one another.

An attack on diversity, equity and inclusion is an attack on everyone,
veterans, women, the LGBTQ community, Black folks — it is a threat to
everyone. You need to move and act accordingly. We need to move and act
accordingly.

If you think that you can be inoculated from the harms of this
administration, just know, none of us will be exempt. They are coming for
everyone.

But I believe in the power of the people. And the people have already won
two victories after calling out Trump’s recklessness and lawlessness.

A federal judge has blocked Trump’s executive order ending the
constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship. (He clearly has not
read the Constitution — just like he doesn’t read the Bible — which states
that if you're born in America, you're American. Period.)

And the Trump administration has rescinded its unlawful and cruel freeze
on federal grants and loans — which would have threatened lives and
livelihoods.

We’ve proven that if we resist and if we apply pressure, that we can force
them to reverse course. We’re going to have to keep at it, and I’m in this fight all
the way.

$25 or
anything you can right now to help us build resistance against the Trump
administration and secure more victories for the people?

Onward,
