Friend –
Just twenty-four hours into his second term, Donald Trump signed an illegal, cruel, and far-reaching executive order designed to erase transgender people's rights, denying who they are and threatening the freedom of self-determination and self-expression for all.
We know no executive order can erase transgender people. But Donald Trump's executive order tries to impose his radical ideology on the entire country? Read our blog explaining Trump's first anti-transgender executive order and its significance. <[link removed]>
Read The Blog <[link removed]> Learn more about Trump's anti-transgender executive order.
The Constitution, reinforced by Supreme Court precedent, clearly protects trans people from discrimination – yet President Trump's order flies in the face of this, mandating illegal discrimination and attempting to force trans people out of public life.
His follow-up orders go even further – restricting trans people's ability to get passports that accurately reflect their gender, banning trans people from the military, and attacking gender-affirming care for trans youth.
Donald Trump's executive order attempts to put the full force of the federal government behind his mission to discriminate. We won't allow these dangerous, sweeping, and unconstitutional orders to stand.
Read our blog to learn more about how this initial order will affect trans people, and what to do if you or someone you know is affected. <[link removed]>
