See these guys? They were the VIPs at Trump’s inauguration.
Musk, Zuckerberg, Bezos, and Pichai. Twitter, Meta, Amazon, and Google. Their combined net worth is almost one trillion dollars. Yes, one trillion. That’s $1,000,000,000,000.
Trump made it clear from the start that he’s not going to fight for regular Americans. He’s not looking out for the working class. His goal is to make his billionaire buddies richer at the expense of the rest of us.
Just look at the complete mess this week around the federal grant freeze. With just a short memo, Trump froze essential benefits for millions of working class Americans, such as Medicaid, food stamps, housing assistance, veteran’s care, Meals on Wheels, and much more.
And that’s within the same week that he used executive orders to deregulate big money industries like fossil fuels, AI, and cryptocurrency. We have to fight back. We have to stand against Trump’s looting of the American people.
One of our biggest goals here at The Long Run is to elect more working class candidates to office. Because we understand that for our government to represent us, they have to look like us. They have to understand the struggles we face, and put the needs of regular folks over the needs of billionaires.
We’ve already seen success in our work to elect Long Run candidates in swing districts across the country, and we’re gearing up to do the same this election cycle. But we need your help if we’re going to come out the gate strong.
