Re-elected Gov. Tony Evers despite GOP voter suppression

The Daily Show's Jon Stewart gets excited talking with Ben Wikler.

Ben's exchange with The Daily Show's Jon Stewart had Stewart yelling into the camera, "Is somebody taking notes?!"

STEWART: I think part of it is Democrats are defending a status quo that people feel is not delivering on the discomfort they have in their real lives.

WIKLER: I think that during Trump's first administration, sometimes we'd say, "This is not normal." It wasn't normal. But it's also the case that what's normal is not necessarily okay.

STEWART: Boom!

WIKLER: It is not okay that people can't get an inhaler for their kid.

STEWART: Preach! Amen. Yes.

WIKLER: And we have to show that this pisses us off.

STEWART: Oh my god, I'm getting excited. Yes!

WIKLER: You actually have to make this case. To fight and make change in people's lives. That is the point of this work.

STEWART: Alright!!

This is exactly the kind of energy we need leading the national Democratic Party. Ben knows how to build a bottom-up, people-powered movement that doesn’t just win elections, but fights like hell for working people.
