Hi John,
As we near the end of the first month of 2025, it’s important to remember that the resistance to this new administration will be a marathon, not a sprint. We must pace ourselves accordingly, and remember that building long-term political power isn’t something that happens over the course of any single election cycle or presidential administration. The grassroots organizing work that we’re doing right now, long before anyone is even thinking about the next time they go to the polls, is critical to sustaining our movement.
We’re almost at our end-of-month deadline, and we’re still not quite at our goal. Any amount helps — can you please support our organizing work today? [[link removed]]

We are clear that the executive orders feel overwhelming, and the President hasn’t hesitated to keep his word. but we are also clear that so much decision-making in our country is at the local level. We’re proud of the more than 40 Emerge New Mexico alums who won their races up and down the ballot in November, and we have even bigger plans on the horizon.
Let’s organize our way out of this dark period and towards a brighter future.
All the best,
Emerge New Mexico
