At the core of Lobby Day are meetings with state legislators on Tuesday, May 20 in Sacramento. We're scheduling them now, and we need you to join us. Constituent meetings are one of the most effective ways to support legislation that will tackle the housing shortage and affordability crisis. These meetings are a great way to amplify the voice of the YIMBY movement. And it's a lot of fun! Will you join us in Sacramento on May 20?

Lobby Day takes a significant time to plan -- please help us create the best experience by signing up ASAP.

It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned housing advocate or just getting involved for the first time -- we'll make it easy for you to talk with your Assemblymember and/or your State Senator about the transformative legislation we want them to pass in the 2025 session.

In 2025 we want to continue to improve the gender balance and bring more attendees from historically underrepresented communities to meetings with state legislators. So we need your help to spread the word to make sure our female presenting neighbors and those from historically underrepresented communities feel welcome and encouraged to join in our meetings with state legislators. We want our delegation to mirror the rich diversity of our beloved state.

We'll have training events, talking points and materials ahead of time, along with providing helpful hints and time to prep with your Lobby Team when we're all gathered in Sacramento on the morning of May 20 before the actual meetings.

We don't want finances to be a barrier to your participation. So to assist those experiencing financial hardship to join us, California YIMBY will provide travel reimbursement for travel to and from Sacramento for Lobby Day on a first come first serve basis. We have limited funds available for this purpose, and they'll stretch much further if you can arrange your travel early.
