Today, I know Americans across the country are reeling from the pain of the tragedy we witnessed in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night. Before I came to Congress, I spent 30 years as a flight attendant. I have the utmost respect for all those who work to keep passengers safe when they fly. While we continue to await the results of the investigations by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration, this is not the time for political games. My heart is broken by this event, and I am praying for the families of all those we lost, including the two crew members who had Georgia ties. |
