Dear john,

Today, I know Americans across the country are reeling from the pain of the tragedy we witnessed in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night. Before I came to Congress, I spent 30 years as a flight attendant. I have the utmost respect for all those who work to keep passengers safe when they fly. While we continue to await the results of the investigations by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration, this is not the time for political games. My heart is broken by this event, and I am praying for the families of all those we lost, including the two crew members who had Georgia ties.

This week was the first District Work Week of the new Congress. I took advantage of this period to conduct meetings with local elected officials across our district and discuss their priorities and concerns. Though I know many people dealt with considerable uncertainty and anxiety this week surrounding the proposed federal funding freeze, my office remains a resource to every constituent. If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding a federal agency issue, please reach out to my office.

This week, I was proud to celebrate the grand re-opening of the J.M. Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA! During the last Congress, I helped secure Community Project Funding to support key facility upgrades for this location. Our children and their families deserve the best possible resources and facilities to nurture them through each stage of their lives, so it was a true pleasure to see these upgrades come to life on Wednesday. Congratulations once again to the J.M. Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA!

Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
