Further details on the recent court ruling extending the deadline to submit a ballot

Dear John,

The primary election ends on June 2nd.
Under Montana law, ballots must be received by your county election office by that date.
Mail your ballot TODAY

Must arrive by

June 2!
By now, you may have also heard about a court ruling that would extend that deadline, and count ballots postmarked June 2 (that arrive as late as June 8).

While I personally support counting ballots postmarked on election day, I urge you to get your ballot in the mail today.

After today, you should drop your ballot off in-person at your county elections office.

The ruling is currently being appealed to the Montana Supreme Court, which could uphold the ruling or reverse it. Because of this uncertainty, you should not rely on the new deadline.

Instead, put your ballot in the mail today. Or, physically drop off your ballot at your county elections office. I’d also recommend wearing a mask if you go inside or are around other people. Make sure to wash your hands afterwards and before touching your phone.

Thank you for voting. This is the foundational right of democracy. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Supporting the campaign: Raph is currently working full time to support Governor Bullock. With the outbreak of COVID-19, we’ve cancelled all in-person fundraisers and events. But this election is more important than ever, especially with our access to healthcare on the line. The non-partisan
Cook Political Report ([link removed]) rates Graybill as the top Democratic candidate to win back the Attorney General's office this fall.
