Mere hours after being sworn in as president, Trump took sweeping actions that will curtail our rights and chip away at our democracy.

Among the most egregious actions he took: Pardoning January 6 attackers, and by doing so, rewarding violent insurrectionists for trying to overturn an election.

Here’s the hard truth: We know this is one of the first of many ways Trump and his allies will attempt to stifle the will of the people. Whether that means stoking a violent riot with blatant disinformation or manipulating voting maps, we refuse to stand by as our democratic institutions are attacked and undermined.

And we already know that the architects of Project 2025 are going to push for this question to be put on the 2030 Census — so we have our work cut out for us.
