Trump’s backing down because we, the American people, have spoken out in unison against his disastrous, extremist decision to pull billions of dollars of resources out from under the working class.
This marks the first loss for Trump’s administration, and it proves the unpopularity of the GOP’s far-right agenda. Even they won’t stand by their ideas for more than 48 hours.
But, friend, we better believe that Trump will try again. This funding freeze is not completely off the table just yet, and he has already promised to directly challenge the constitution on birthright citizenship, the power of the presidency, and more.
It’s our job to stay vigilant and find effective ways to fight the constitutional crises he will create to enrich his billionaire friends and rip off the American people. We have to be ready to fight back just like we did this week.
