The latest IPC Acute Food Insecurity Report confirmed famine has spread to additional areas since it was first confirmed in the Zamzam displacement camp in August 2024. Famine is now in two other camps in North Darfur and the Western Nuba Mountains in South Kordofan, and projected in five more areas by May 2025.
