Dear John,
I’m thrilled to share with you the launch of our newly redesigned website, WOLA.org, marking a pivotal moment in the Washington Office on Latin America’s journey. Our previous site, which had been in operation since 2016, served us well, but as we celebrated our 50th anniversary, we felt it was time to reimagine our online presence. This redesign is not just an update—it’s a reflection of our new strategic plan and our ongoing commitment to advancing human rights and strengthening civil society in the Americas. With a modern, user-friendly interface, our new site is built to meet the demands of an ever-changing digital landscape and to better connect you to the critical work we’re doing in this new era.
In a time when the need for advocacy on behalf of human rights and civil society has never been more urgent, this new platform will serve as a hub for timely information, in-depth analysis, and ways you can get involved in our mission. We encourage you to explore the new features on WOLA.org, where you’ll find updated resources, reports, and opportunities to engage with our work. Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter in our history. We look forward to continuing this journey with you as we move into the next 50 years of defending human rights.
Warm regards,
|

For human rights activists across Latin America right now, the stakes are high. Violence around elections is on the rise, as are threats against those who speak in favor of justice and accountability.
Your support of WOLA creates space to amplify the voices of those who put their life on the line to champion human rights; from Caracas, to San Salvador, and everywhere in between. |
