As we wrap up the first month of the year, our programs team has been busier than ever. Before diving into program updates, we want to take a moment to celebrate the success of our end-of-year fundraising campaign, Your Support, Their Future. We are thrilled to announce that the campaign was a resounding success, and we couldn’t have done it without your unwavering support.
Your generosity and participation have been truly inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment. The funds raised will empower the Fulfillment Fund to kick off 2025 strong, fueling our College Access, College Success, and Career Readiness programs. With your continued support, we will not only help students get into college but also ensure they thrive throughout their college journey and launch meaningful careers.
Program Updates
We’re proud to report that our high school students have submitted 1,791 college applications to UCs, Cal State universities, and Early Decision and Early Action private colleges—averaging 5.7 applications per student , increasing their chances of enrollment! With more college application deadlines approaching, we continue to support students as they focus on the best path forward. We are honored to stand by them in their journey to college.
This past Saturday, we kicked off the financial aid season by hosting a Financial Aid Workshop at RFK Community Schools and Bernstein High School campuses. Our College Access and College Success teams provided expert advice and support to 88 students and their families. We assisted both high school seniors and continuing college students, helping over 80 students across two workshops successfully submit their FAFSA applications and providing others with a strong start on the process. We're committed to ensuring that 100% of eligible seniors—around 700 students—submit their applications by the state’s April 2nd priority deadline. Now that the financial aid application season is underway, our students and families are relying on us for timely financial aid information and personalized counseling to stay on track as they navigate their path to higher education.
Thanks to you, we're able to provide life-changing opportunities, guidance, and resources that help students unlock their full potential.
Finally, we are thrilled to announce that our very own Chief Program Officer, Rachel Livingston , has been appointed to serve on the National College Attainment Network (NCAN) 2025 Advisory Task Force. <[link removed]> The Advisory Task Force consists of 25 leaders from various sectors of college attainment, including education, nonprofit organizations, and state agencies. Created by NCAN, this group meets monthly to share insights, solve challenges, and identify trends. Rachel will be able to provide valuable feedback and insights on the experiences and needs of our students and families, helping to inform the resources and professional development opportunities available to support them. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our Fulfillment Fund community. Your belief in our mission is inspiring, and we can’t thank you enough for making a real difference in the lives of the students we serve.
