John,
I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that it’s been a rough two weeks for our democracy since President Trump took office.
I want you to know that first and foremost, I am always going to be on the side of protecting democracy and I will do everything in my power to continue to protect our country and the values we believe in.
I refuse to let disinformation take hold in Minnesota. I will keep leading with the truth, defending our election workers, and ensuring that every eligible voter has access to the ballot box.
But I can’t do it alone. Your support right now is critical. This deadline is our first major test since Donald Trump took office, and every dollar we raise will go toward defending democracy. John, will you please make a donation before midnight to help us reach our goal?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed now. |
The threats to our country are real, and I need your help to fight back.
Here’s what we’re up against:
🚨 January 6th pardons: President Trump granted clemency to over 1,000 people convicted of crimes during the attack on our Capitol—including leaders of far-right extremist groups. These aren’t “political prisoners.” These are, in many cases, domestic terrorists.
🚨 Kristi Noem’s confirmation for DHS: In her hearing, she suggested that fighting election disinformation is “mission drift.” Now that she leads DHS, we could lose one of our strongest federal allies in the fight against election misinformation.
🚨 Disinformation threats are only growing: We know that bad actors—from foreign adversaries to election deniers—will continue to spread falsehoods in the months ahead. The only way to combat it is with truth, resources, and a commitment to protecting our democracy.
That’s why I need your support before tonight’s fundraising deadline. We need to raise another $7,500 before midnight to ensure we have the resources to counter these threats and protect free, fair, and secure elections. Will you please stand with me in this effort?
We’re in this together. Thanks for standing with me.
Steve
