Tonight marks our first monthly fundraising deadline of 2025, so we wanted to update you on where things currently stand and why meeting our end-of-month target is so important.

Here are a couple of things you need to know:

The extreme right is ramping up their attacks against Eric. National Republicans put out yet another misleading press hit attacking me, and IL-17 is already tagged as a top flip opportunity for next November. It’s important that we counter their spin, but communicating with voters takes resources. It costs money.

We’ll likely have a new Republican opponent very soon. We’re hearing rumors that a Republican challenger is gearing up to announce, and already courting megadonors. No matter who Eric’s opponent is, you can count on far-right, dark money flowing toward attack ads against me.

It’s been a slower fundraising month than usual. January has admittedly been a slow month in grassroots fundraising so far. Some of that is our trying to allow you to breathe so shortly after an election. But with this race already heating up, our numbers need to start growing, and we’re hoping YOU can help us get back on track.
