The crisis in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is urgent. In Goma, eastern DRC, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are treating an influx of wounded patients as we rapidly respond to escalating violence.
Since January 23, in Kyeshero Hospital, MSF teams have treated over 140 patients, including 37 this past Tuesday—half of them civilians and most of them women. Many of the injuries we treated were caused by shrapnel or gunshot wounds. Humanitarian and medical facilities have not been spared from the violence.
MSF USA accepts no US government funding, and your independent support allows our teams to respond quickly to growing emergencies like this, adapting as the situation evolves. Rush your unrestricted gift to help us save lives when crises escalate in DRC, Gaza, Sudan, and over 70 countries around the world.

The violence between the Congolese army and the armed rebel group M23 has had a devastating impact on people across eastern DRC. Fighting has also hindered humanitarian access in the region, affecting our ability to deliver medical care and essentials like food, medical supply donations to medical facilities, and fuel.
Despite the increase in violence, MSF teams continue to provide critical care for patients. For almost 50 years, MSF has provided medical humanitarian aid in DRC, including treatment for malnutrition, measles, and cholera, and programs for maternal and pediatric care. Right now, we are preparing to send additional teams back into Goma to further assess the situation, and we remain ready to scale up our response to meet the needs of our patients.
As other organizations face US funding cuts, our independent and flexible funding—powered by donors like you—ensures we can continue to quickly respond where the needs are greatest. With so much need around the world right now, please rush an unrestricted emergency donation to power lifesaving aid where it is needed most.
