The truth matters. This email contains 4 truths and a lie.
Truth One: Early this week, I filed with the FEC to keep my campaign account open for financial purposes. It's considered part of an "exploratory" campaign; I didn't make an announcement, and I didn't file to run with the Maryland Board of Elections.
Truth Two: Right away, April Delaney, used this FEC filing in a text yesterday to fundraise for a 2026 Congressional race. She owns houses totaling more than $25 Million, all outside of Maryland's 6th District, yet she is asking people for their money to fund her next campaign.
Truth Three: During the 2024 Congressional Campaign, Ms. Delaney spent 10s of thousands of dollars mailing voters, accusing me of lying about her and about my own record. SEE THE FLYER BELOW.
THE LIE: Delaney's October, 2024, campaign flyer claims that, "April McClain Delaney does not support boys playing in girls' sports or any of the other ridiculous claims that Neil Parrott is making."
TRUTH FOUR: Less than 2 weeks after she is sworn in, and less than 3 months since she sent the flyer pictured below, the new Congresswoman for Maryland's District 6, Delaney, VOTED AGAINST The Protection of Women and Girls In Sports Act. This act mandates that only biological women participate in women's sports.(1)
Character matters. Ms. Delaney spent her millions slandering me in 2024. She does not appear to care about the truth, either during the campaign or now.
During one of her very first votes, she voted exactly the opposite of what she told her future constituents that she believed. Because this issue is contentious and extremely important to many in Garrett, Allegany, Washington, Frederick, and Montgomery Counties, people should know about her deception and double-talk.
There is good news. With your help, we proved that Maryland's District 6 can be won in the right circumstances. This year, we came very close, and were one of the closest 50 races out of the 435 seats up for grabs in the country. (2)
No matter how you feel about biological males playing in women's sports, I think that everyone can agree: we should not have a dishonest politician representing Maryland's Congressional District 6, one who lies to their constituents, just to win an election.
I believe that character matters, and I believe that Delaney should be defeated in 2026.
Thanks for reading, and I hope that you have a great weekend.
