Folks,
I just finished up an appearance on MSNBC, where I talked with Lawrence O’Donnell about Tulsi Gabbard’s hearing in the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and explained why I'm voting against her confirmation.
We discussed my concerns about her experience and qualifications, ability to build and develop trusting relationships with our allies, and her tendency to excuse our adversaries for their worst actions and instead blame them on the U.S. We also spoke about Gabbard’s responses to my concerns and those of my colleagues.
Today’s hearing was an important one, and I’m glad I was able to directly address Gabbard about her past.
Remember, folks, I am always looking out for you in the Senate. If Gabbard, or frankly, any of Trump’s other nominees, don’t have the know-how or the judgment to do these jobs, I will get to the bottom of it.
Thank you,
Mark Warner
P.S. I hate to ask, but part of what allows me to stay focused on my work in the Senate is making sure we hit our monthly fundraising goals. They're small but an important part of making sure we have the resources for my re-election in 2026. Can you pitch in $5 now to help hit January’s? I really appreciate it.
