But the numbers in California — that was what I’ve been watching for a couple years. California’s 25th — it didn’t become a Trump seat but it moved a lot. It’s a working class, heavily Hispanic district. And Raul Ruiz finds himself in a battleground seat again.

FIRST: Donald Trump made unprecedented gains in CA-25, pushing us from a +15 Biden victory in 2020 to just a +2 lead this November.
THEN: Republicans took control of both houses of Congress, and know that any seat they can flip red in 2026 will be crucial to maintaining their MAGA trifecta in Washington.
NOW: All eyes are on our now battleground district to see whether or not we’ll be able to hold our seat come election season.

The son of hardworking farmworkers, Dr. Ruiz grew up in Coachella, CA and learned at an early age that the key to attaining the American Dream is hard work and a great education. In the summer of 1990, Raul walked in the desert heat from business to business in the Coachella Valley asking them to invest in their community by contributing to his education. With each investment for college, he made a promise to come back home and serve his community as a physician. In 2012, he decided to take his service to the community to the next level by running for Congress. Dr. Ruiz needs our help to continue fighting for us in Congress.
