Three new inductees will join the ranks of 67 other honorees in the Wyoming Outdoor Hall of Fame: Doug Crowe, Steve Kilpatrick and Jim Zumbo. Recognition is given to people who have worked consistently over many years to conserve Wyoming’s natural resources through volunteer service, environmental restoration, educational activities, audio/visual and written media, the arts and political and individual leadership. *Crowe, Kilpatrick and Zumbo will be inducted into the Wyoming Outdoor Hall of Fame* [ [link removed] ] at a ceremony in March.

At the close of 2024 and the promise of a new year, the *Wyoming Game and Fish Department reflects on the continued efforts to manage Wyoming’s wildlife and serve the public.* [ [link removed] ] There were some significant changes last year, including a new wildlife chief and deputy directors, the retirement of former Director Brian Nesvik and the appointment of Game and Fish’s first female Director, Angi Bruce, Game and Fish maintains its commitment to conserving wildlife for generations to come. 







Social media influencer sentenced for multiple fishing-related charges

A Cheyenne man, a self-proclaimed social media influencer and nonprofit head, was *recently sentenced on multiple fishing-related charges.* [ [link removed] ] The charges were the most recent of multiple wildlife violations he committed, and stem from a 2022 case in which he was charged with and plead guilty to illegally releasing live fish into a Wyoming water.




Game and Fish releases statement on grizzly bear decision

Wyoming Game and Fish Department Director Angi Bruce issued a *statement regarding the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) decision not to delist the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) grizzly bear.* [ [link removed] ] Management of the GYE grizzly bear will remain under federal control.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department would like to thank the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) for the generous donation of $2,000 to help purchase a live trap for wild turkeys. This donation will *enhance ongoing efforts to manage and relocate wild turkeys* [ [link removed] ] that have ventured into urban areas of Casper and beyond, ensuring the safety and well-being of both the birds and residents.
