Have the events of the past two weeks motivated you to get involved for the first time and join Seattle DSA, but not sure how or where to start organizing? Or are you a veteran socialist organizer looking to get back in the fight and just need a refresher?

SDSA’s Member Engagement Committee is hosting the next new member orientation to help you get acquainted with the chapter and national organization.

This is the first in a series of three meetings for our February 2025 New Member Cohort. Join us to meet fellow comrades and get an introduction to core concepts in socialist theory and organizing methods.

See you then!

Have you ever

  • Wanted more rights at work?
  • Wanted to fight back against big business?
  • Been thinking “I need a union” but don’t know how to make it happen

This workshop will teach you what you need to get started at your workplace! This is intended for people at currently non-union workplaces who want to take the first step towards organizing, whether you want to join an existing union, form a new one, or organizing demands of your boss without a union at all.

Our experienced labor organizers will teach you how to have an organizing conversation and how to form your Organizing Committee.

When we organize, we win!

At the MegaCanvas we'll have:

  • Solidarity from Tacoma DSA, who can help share lessons from winning a renter's bill of rights
  • Tasty donuts, coffee, and other canvassing snacks
