Donald Trump’s presidency has already proven to paint a dark portrait of America, and now he’s prepared to put plans in place to rob youth and the next generation of their opportunity to succeed.
In the first week of his presidency, Donald Trump issued a litany of executive orders, one of which targets transgender, nonbinary, and intersex communities, and many of which threaten to weaken our democracy, civil rights, and our public education system.

He and his administration continue to target our community with hate and division. The stakes are higher than ever for LGBTQ+ youth, and they need your help. Right now, GLSEN’s work to make our nation’s educational spaces safe is more vital than ever.

Even faced with an extremist political agenda that seeks to eliminate essential organizations like ours, we promise to continue advocating for LGBTQ+ youth, partnering with teachers to support all their students, and advocating for policy change at the federal and state levels that delivers safer and more inclusive schools for all.
