My friends —

A lot of you signed on, spoke out, and took action when the Trump administration tried to freeze $3 trillion in federal funding earlier this week.

Thanks to you — and to the states and organizations that filed lawsuits against the administration — that freeze is blocked. For now, at least.

That means that the folks I heard from in Arizona, organizations that provide housing and food for homeless veterans are going to get their funding. It means elderly folks who rely on Meals on Wheels will get what they need. That matters.

Now, a few things stuck out to me during that whole process, like the lack of clarity in that memo in the first place. Another was the uncertainty the President forced on millions of people who need and have earned help. And, to put it bluntly, the degree to which this administration simply does not have their s**t together.

It’s ridiculous, honestly, and it’s going to be a long four years.

But, beyond that, one other thing stuck out. Millions of us joined together and united to stop him — and, for now at least, it worked.

This team played a part in that, and it reinforced how important everything we’ve built together really is. This team is special, and I haven’t forgotten that.

But we’re not done. Trump’s team is regrouping, and more tough moments are on their way every day. I just hope you know that I’ll be doing what I can to push back.
