"I don't think we have yet felt the urgency of acting immediately. That time could develop, but I don't think it has yet." - Mitch McConnell
McConnell is out of touch -- Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he doesn't feel a sense of urgency to provide further relief to Americans during a public health and economic crisis.
Ohioans know this is urgent because they're experiencing the impact of the coronavirus pandemic firsthand.

Ohioans and Americans all over the country are struggling to pay their rent, mortgages, and utility bills. They're worried about being able to afford their medical bills and groceries. They're concerned about job security in the wake of millions of layoffs.
Democrats know Americans are hurting, and the House Majority advanced a coronavirus relief package to provide aid to state and local governments, small businesses, and workers, including:
Another round of direct cash payments to put money in Americans' pockets
Hazard pay for frontline workers and worker safety protections
Extending unemployment benefits
Housing aid for homeowners and renters
Expanding the small business loan program to keep workers on the payroll
Emergency aid for state and local governments
Funding to strengthen COVID-19 testing and contact tracing
Now, I'm urging McConnell to take action on a COVID-19 relief package ASAP, but I need grassroots activists like you to join me. Will you sign our open letter to McConnell/petition?
With gratitude,
Sherrod
