Today, the U.S. Senate began its confirmation hearing to consider Donald
Trump’s nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of the Department of
   Health and Human Services (HHS).

Will you dial 202-998-6094 to use our hotline and call your Senator now to
tell them to prioritize the future of our public health by voting NO on
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s nomination for HHS Secretary?
To put it simply, Kennedy’s confirmation would be a disaster for the
future of public health in this country. If confirmed, Kennedy would
oversee agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and National Institutes of
Health (NIH) that regulate pharmaceutical drugs, set vaccine
recommendations, and fund critical public health research. The HHS
Secretary also oversees the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
(CMS), which provides health care coverage for over 170 million people in
   the U.S.
Kennedy’s denial of science-based evidence, specifically his anti-vaccine
positions, and his stated plans to de-prioritize infectious disease
control, make him unfit to run a department charged with protecting the
   public health of our country.
Since the hearing began today and a vote could take place within days, we
need to urge the Senate to vote against Kennedy’s confirmation ASAP.

Kennedy’s anti-science and anti-vaccine views pose an extreme risk to
nurses, to patients, and to our nation. Thank you for taking action to
   stop his confirmation.
