New Materials: Resources for Protecting Students from ICE Enforcement

As Trump rolled back policy on protected areas that kept immigrants safe from ICE enforcement in spaces like hospitals and schools, the American Federation of Teachers, National Immigration Law Council, Center for Law and Social Policy, and National Education Association have shared a series of resources to aid in protecting youth and families. These guides provide information for educators, students, and their families on rights, how to restrict ICE enforcement on school grounds, support families impacted by ICE actions, and more. Please share widely with your networks:

  • Know Your Rights for Immigrant Students, English and Spanish
  • Protecting our Students Toolkit, English and Spanish
  • 15 Things Educators Can Do to Support Immigrant Youth & Families, English and Spanish
  • Comprehensive Guide on Immigration for Schools
  • Safe Zone School Resolution Guide

Research: AAPI Data Guide

AAPI Data, housed within the Asian American Research Center, has published a new resource guide on Asian American and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities in the United States. The report provides key data on community demographics, policy impacts of the first Trump administration, and more.

Resource: San Francisco’s SF Immigrant Forum

The City of San Francisco has launched a new website called SF Immigrant Forum, designed to provide accurate, useful information to the area’s immigrant families. Though aimed at recent arrivals, the site consolidates information about topics ranging from safety net eligibility to enforcement-related know-your-rights materials.
