We’re a week into the second Trump Administration, and I know many of you are either glued to the news or trying to stay far away from it.

Either way here’s what you need to know — Republicans have shown us who their priorities are: the ultra-wealthy oligarchy and anti-American insurrectionists.

But what about US?!?

The Republican-led Congress has taken up NO legislation related to lowering costs… or supporting working families.

Isn’t that what they promised to do?

Trump, meanwhile, has spent every moment he can enacting executive orders that *checks notes* also do nothing to lower costs & support our communities:

✅ Removed guard rails for equity in the workplace

✅ Withdraws 🇺🇸 from the Paris climate agreement

✅ Freezes most federal hiring

✅ Shut down Medicaid, disaster relief, child care, and more…

We knew that this was coming—but as I promised you all, I won’t stop working for our shared beliefs—whether working across the aisle or pushing back against the administration.

That’s what West Michigan deserves.

Keep the faith, and know you have a fighter in me, at home and in Washington.

We’re only just getting started.
