Here's the truth about what athletes are up against right now during the coronavirus outbreak:

- Special Olympics teams can't hit the field right now to play and compete -- leaving thousands of athletes feeling disappointed, confused, and isolated.
- Canceled and postponed events will likely lead to a drop in funding, which would affect our programs for athletes and their families.
- People with intellectual disabilities (ID) are at greater risk for COVID-19, yet often face significant challenges in accessing quality health services.
