This afternoon, the Trump White House issued a memo RESCINDING their own order to cut federal funding for food, health, and housing assistance:
Trump and Musk thought they could cause pain for millions of working people and we’d take it lying down. It took less than two days for them to learn the hard way: if they come after our Medicaid, child care, and SNAP benefits, there will be a price to pay.
You helped make this happen, John. All of our calls, petitions, and sharing of our personal stories forced Trump to back down in less than 48 hours.
We also know they’re not about to stop.
Already, the White House is saying today they will keep trying to cut funds for programs working families rely on. And we know they ultimately want to pillage every corner of the working class, no matter how many families lose their access to food, shelter, and basic standards of living. But today is a reminder that when we stand together, we can stop them.
