John,
On his first day in office, Donald Trump issued clemency to over 1,000 people convicted for their role in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Among those pardoned were members of extremist groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers—people who committed violence against police officers and sought to overturn the democratic process.
This sends a dangerous message: that there are no consequences for attacking democracy.
But we know the truth. These were acts of domestic terrorism in many cases. And the clemency granted by Trump risks emboldening these extremists to act again.
We can’t let this stand. We need to fight back now to defend the truth and protect our democracy from further harm.
That’s why we need your help, John. We’re working every day to push back against disinformation and stand up for the principles of free and fair elections. Will you please chip in $10 or more to support our work before our end-of-month deadline?
