Watch and Share New “Living with Suicide Loss” Videos

For those who have lost a loved one to suicide, one of the most impactful kinds of support can be hearing the personal reflections of other individuals who have experienced this complex type of loss. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s “Living with Suicide Loss” video library collects filmed accounts of suicide loss, enabling viewers to learn through the example of what has helped others, and recognize they are not alone.

Now featuring additional videos filmed at AFSP’s Long-Term Survivors of Suicide Loss Summit, the collection contains powerful recollections, epiphanies and collected wisdom of how suicide loss survivors have navigated the pain of their loss, and processed difficult feelings of grief. In these new loss-themed videos, you’ll hear about:

the heartfelt conversation one man imagined with his lost son that helped him work through his feelings of anger, and reclaim a sense of peace
how the effects of trauma and cultural and religious stigma may affect healing if unaddressed
how one family determined how much they would say, and who they would tell, about the death of their loved one
