Hey John, I know it feels impossible to escape the constant headlines on President Trump’s latest unconstitutional attacks on vulnerable communities.

These are scary times, no doubt. But no matter who the president is and no matter how divided Congress is — we must face these challenges and attacks with courage and clarity.

I’m ready to do the work to protect our Constitution and strengthen our delicate democracy. I’ll be working tirelessly to address the urgent needs of Vermonters and working people across America.

How we do this work matters, too. I’ll be advocating for real change and calling out any attempt to slide our country toward authoritarianism. I refuse to let any attempt to harm our fundamental freedoms be swept under the rug.

Over the next four years, we need to be louder about defending our rights and keep up the good fight regardless of the Trump Administration’s attempts to exhaust us.
