Hi John,
This week, the Trump administration defied the Constitution to unilaterally freeze every federally funded program nationwide.
We have two things to say right away: we’re scared, yes, but we’re also angry. And the best way to counter both of those emotions is ACTION.
Trump’s Executive Order is so broad that ALL programs supported by the federal government are at risk, immediately harming families and communities. Clean air and drinking water programs, support for the manufacturing boom happening around the country, Medicaid and health care for veterans, as well as fundamental federal assistance programs like SNAP and WIC, low-income home energy program (LIHEAP), and climate-related disaster aid are all affected.
It’s clear the Trump administration is using vague and inconsistent information about access to vital services to further muddy the waters and manipulate the public. The situation is constantly changing, by design. The truth is, everything is at risk and lawmakers must understand this is unacceptable and highly dangerous.

When our elected members of Congress decide how to use taxpayer money, the job of the executive branch is to follow through. Period. This dangerously broad overreach by the Trump administration, directed by Project 2025, is part of Trump’s extreme power grab meant to instill chaos, and it will cause very real harm to people in every state.
This is one of those moments to speak out. If Trump and his extremist allies go unchallenged, they will further consolidate power and put even more lives at risk. Tell Congress to stop them.
