I’ll keep this quick, friend.

Since Citizens United, campaigns are more expensive than ever. In this last cycle, the total cost of Congressional races was $10 billion dollars!

My campaign takes great effort to ensure every dollar we receive is spent wisely, but the truth is even with smart spending, given the amount outside groups pumped into our district, we had to spend almost all of our cash before November’s election, and are entering this cycle with a blank slate.

Rest assured: your dollars don’t go to waste. They help our team run digital ads, recruit volunteers, and spread our positive vision for Illinois’ 17th District to more folks than we otherwise could.

It’s so important that we re-build our “war chest” and get fundraising momentum early in the race, so that when the cycle heats up it’ll be harder for National Republicans to truly invest in flipping this district.
