Let me level with you, team.

It might only be January, but our team is already doing the work of strategic planning to build a successful campaign, because we know that doing the hard work early will pay dividends when things really start to come down to the wire.

But here’s the thing: No one has a crystal ball, and no one can accurately predict what is going to happen over the next 21 months. So here’s what we know now:

1. Pat is running in one of the most competitive congressional seats in the country (Harris only barely won the seat), and despite his overperformance last year, he will remain a top target for Republicans.

2. Democrats cannot take back the House if they lose in places like NY-18 – making holding this seat mission critical for taking back the majority in 2026. Early contributions are the building blocks of a successful campaign down the line because they allow us to make smarter spending decisions later on.

3. We are coming up on the first end-of-month deadline of 2026 – our first real test of this election cycle. And the information in front of us makes it clear that how we fare in this moment will set the pace for what our campaign can accomplish the rest of the year and well into election season.
