The past two weeks have been difficult. I’ll be honest.
It feels like every hour, there’s another breaking news alert at the latest action Trump and his MAGA enablers have taken to attack America. They’ve already:
* Started ICE raids and deportations
* Ended diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in the federal government
* Pardoned the January 6th rioters, including those who violently attacked law enforcement
* Rolled back federal regulations
* Threatened birthright citizenship
* Removed America from the World Health Organization and Paris Agreement, an international treaty on climate change
* Declared a "national energy emergency" so they can increase oil drilling without regulations
Now that MAGA holds control of the White House, U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and Supreme Court, the Trump administration will think they are unstoppable. But, as long as we come together, we can stop them.
Trump and MAGA Republicans want us to feel discouraged and scared so that we don’t fight back. That’s why we need to prove right now that we’re not backing down and that we’re going to keep fighting and stop their attacks at every turn.
The Michigan Democratic Party is already laying the groundwork and building on our momentum to hold Trump accountable and fight to protect the rights, liberties, and freedom of all Americans.
